Staycation at Acacia Hotel Manila

I've been so excited to post this blog about our few days stay in Manila but things have been so busy and it took me a month to finally find some time to write about it.

We had our stay in Acacia Hotel Manila for my brother's wedding. When we arrived with too much baggage, I admired how immediately a staff assisted us and directly lead us to our reserved room. But before that here's a photo of the lobby.

The Lobby

I wasn't able to take a lot of photos when we arrived because preparation was to tight and we're all getting ready for the wedding. But after the wedding and arrived back at the hotel, I was able to take some photos just get some quick virtual tour on our room.

The bed was huge, so comfy and I can dig in here like the whole day.

By the way, after I have eaten a lot from the reception. I weighed myself right away :) Did gain!
I love the built in blow dry :)
And for the shower. :) Isn't that nice?
My view that night before I went to sleep. Such a calming and relaxing view :) I had a great sleep.

The next day, we had our buffet breakfast which I was so excited about. I wasn't able to take photos of the food they have in the buffet (maybe because I was so hungry I forgot I am supposed to blog this hahaha) but I took a photo of the whole place.

So that was it, we had a full breakfast. I can't say they have the best food but they've got a lot you can choose from (it was too many you probably can't eat them all!) But when we left. I was like " I should have tried that..I should have eaten that or just a pinch of taste of that.." (hahaha kidding aside).

It was a great place to stay, I enjoyed it. I won't forget how accommodating the staff was. When we checked out they had to take us to our taxi ride since it's so hard to get a taxi around that area.

So that was it, thank you for your time reading my blog. :)

April BDJ box 2014 Review : PIXY Truly Asian Beauty!

Hello to dear readers! Here I am again after being gone for awhile ( 2 months! ugh!) . Well, I've been busy lately doing business and work so it was really hard to find time to do some blogging. But today end of April , I decided to blog my review for the April BDJ box. It's actually my second month subscription, I didn't blog about the March BDJ Box ( I'm not so excited about it that's why ).  But this month I was so overwhelmed by what I got so decided to blog about it. I had to use the products for the whole month to be able see what's up for these products called "Pixy".

If you wonder why I wasn't so excited about the previous month subscription that is because everything in it were all samples, well it's not that bad knowing it's a Benefit samples but I would have find it more worth it if at least one of it was in full size ( was I asking too much?hahaha ). But this time it's all in full size ( wow!) I knew it right away when the mailman hand it over to me because it's pretty heavy (hahaha makes sense right?).

So let me start with the lippies they sent me. It has 3 type of lipstick (Matte, Semi-Matte, Satin).
Silky Fit Lasting Matte Lipstick in Earthy Beige SRP 325

Pigmented and easy to apply. It would last for few hours, not really the best lasting matte lipstick I've tried. You have to put on lip balm/moisturizer first before applying because it tends to dry your lips.
Silky Fit Semi-Matte in Cinnamon Twist SRP 265

I am a fan of red lipstick (every girl must-have) and this one is definitely on my list of favorites. I love the shade and yes it is pigmented. It doesn't bleed and didn't dry my lips. It is a pretty deep red lipstick :)

Silky Fit Satin in Autumn Apricot SRP 245
Whoot! I used it everyday for the whole month and seriously loving this lippy to complete my daily look. I love the satin finish, it's moisturizing and smells good ( like I want to eat it!haha ).

Colors of Delight Blush-On in Carnation Bloom SRP 285

It's a pretty blush and one swipe is good enough that's how pigmented it is, and it's too shimmery and really not good for someone like me who have big pores. I am more into a matte blush.

Colors of Delight Waterproof Mascara SRP 260

Needs a lot of coating to achieve a fuller lashes, maybe a 3-4 times of reapplying will do.What I like about this is that it doesn't clump my lashes and looks very natural.

Colors of Delight Eyeliner Pencil SRP 265

It's a good eyeliner, it did last the whole day. It doesn't smear but in a few hours the colors seems faded and not that intense anymore.

UV Whitening Two Way Cake Perfect Fit in Golden Beige SRP 275
I use this powder everyday and I'm loving it. I only retouch twice a day knowing I have an oily combo skin. It is light to medium coverage.

UV Whitening Two Way Cake Perfect Matte in Yellow Ochre SRP 145 (refill)
I love this also, and perfect for my skin tone. I must say this can be medium to full coverage, I tried using it with a wet sponge and it is super matte.

Ultimate Makeup Cake SRP 445
When I opened it my first thought was the pretty packaging, it's sleek and classy. I still kept it inside the box to keep it pretty ( haha ). Among the Pixy powder foundation , I must say this is my favorite. I love the coverage and the consistency. It did last the whole day without retouching.

So I saved a lot from getting the subscription for only Php580 than buying these on its regular price that would cost me a total of  Php2510.  Overall, Pixy is a good quality cosmetics at it's affordable price. I would love to buy their powder foundation and lipstick to get some different shades though I don't think it's up in the market.

Thanks for reading! :)

Stay fab and beautiful.

How to lighten your dark underarms???

It took me awhile to post this certain topic because I just had to try a lot of products to convince myself that it's effective and working for me. And by sharing these tips, it might help few ladies out there who wants to lighten up their underarms.

One major reason why some have dark underarms because of different deodorants they are using that contains chemicals causing irritation to your skin. So my first step was to stop using those certain underarm products and tried using a 100% natural deodorant that is safe and chemical free. One I'm using now and definitely like forever is the Human Heart Nature 100% Natural Premium Deodorant in Pink (well, I've tried other variants and this one is my favorite!aww.)

When I first tried it, I'm like (ugh! I smell something) Yes, I even stopped using it after few days from purchasing it because it doesn't seem to work for me. My first thought was maybe it's too natural and it can't hold enough to stop me from sweating. I came back to human nature and asked why and they said that it is still adjusting since my underarm was too much used on chemical based deos and the sweating and odor kept and hold back by those deos are slowly released.  By the way, do you know that from sweating we are releasing toxins out from our body and most deodorant that are stopping us from sweating are not healthy for us and can even cause breast cancer. So what I did was to continue using it and bringing it with me everyday so I can apply it again once I started to sweat. After 2 months of using it, I only apply it every morning after shower and then good to go. My underarm finally able to adjust with this product and honestly I can even miss a day not using it and I don't have sweating and bad odor all day long. That's how amazing it turned out! Honestly! :)

Next thing, was to stop shaving. I think all of us know that one main reason why women have dark underarms because of too much shaving. I don't know with women out there to keep on shaving but still have a light underarm. Hehehe! Lucky you girl! :)  So I went on cold waxing and my favorite place is Lay Bare Waxing Salon.

I have my previous blog you can check, just click this link --- > http://bit.ly/1jlyeJN

I visit them at least after two weeks. And oh my! it's addicting! I love cold waxing and really helps a lot to have that light and smoother skin.

My next routine, is pampering my underarm at night and I am using Human Heart Nature 100% Sunflower Beauty Oil.  This helps me to avoid chicken skin which causes dark underarms. Promise, I swear to you at the morning you can feel the smoothness of your underarm skin and it's like (oh my! )

Lastly, I am using a facial scrub to exfoliate it once a week. Duh! who says only a face can use a facial scrub?hehehe Yes!our underarms too. You know I treat my underarms just like a face that need a lot of pampering. Girl, I tell you this "don't you ever neglect your underarms".  ;) So you might want to try this or any facial scrub you have been using to exfoliate your skin, well any scrub will do :) I'm just loving this one because I'm a fan of natural products so that's why.

So that's it ladies, I hope that helps. Expect it would take awhile to see the result but it's worth it! :)

Till next time.

SLEEK MAKEUP Review

When I ordered these goodies, I was just so excited to receive it because I personally love Sleek Makeup. I had my previous post on the highly rated Sleek eyeshadow palette http://fabandflair.blogspot.com/2013/04/sleek-eyeshadow-palette.html , you might want to check.

I got these from Luxola an online shop selling a varieties of cosmetics and skin care products. They have Sleek makeup collections I've been loving to have and decided to purchase the Face Contour Kit and the Luminaire Highlighting Concealer.

1. Face Contour Kit

I super love this contour/highlight palette, I got mine in shade Light since most of the shade is too dark for me just by looking on the website. And luckily, I picked the perfect shade for me. The contouring powder is matte and no shimmer on it, very blend-able, perfect for your daily makeup. The highlighting powder gives you a perfect glowing skin that I super love (ugh, I just don't know how to say it but this palette is the best so far for me, I even love it more than my e.l.f. contouring palette).

2. Luminaire Highlighting Concealer

This highlighting concealer stick is made of a brush tip then on the other side of it is the tip you will push for the concealer to come off on the brush tip ( I hope that makes sense.hehehe). It is a creamy type of concealer and quite thick but not heavy and it does fully cover blemishes and red spots. I love the consistency but too bad I got the wrong shade so I gave it to my friend and it does make wonders on her dark under-eye area ( btw, I got the shade no.3 ) . The plus factor is the coverage of this concealer maybe because of the creamy texture it has a lasting power. I will definitely buy the shade suited for me.

I would definitely recommend sleek makeup for its quality and the price your paying is worth it.

Welcome 2014! New year ahead and new adventure!

Wow! Imagine how time flies by. It took me awhile to post again but decided to do it today (Yey!). Well, time is fast pacing and there is a lot more to do in life. Did you ever question yourself if you have live your life the way you wanted it to be?

I remember way back when I was young , I used to keep on dreaming about many things in life. I have some of them happened and some still in the process of having. The thing is we never give up on dreaming and believing that one day we will slowly in time get them as we venture life. Life is never easy and it will never be, you can never get everything according to what you wanted. But never give up as long as you have God with you along the way, you know every failure and success that happened was meant to be a lesson that will make us stronger and better on our next step to life.

If you are the person still asking on what journey to take, confused on what you wanted in life or love. Then pause for awhile, go somewhere and travel a place where you know you can think. Traveling is the best remedy. That is what I usually do, when I am sad and confused over somethings I just go and pack up and travel. Be alone for awhile in a place where there is no one but you, it is the best time to ponder on what you have to do over a confusion. Make sure also that when you travel , you are already familiar or you have done research on that place for your safety. There is so many place to go, even an hour away from your home where you can settle could be a perfect place to ponder. Traveling doesn't mean you have to go miles away or on a different corner of the earth ( right? :) ). The key points is in every journey we take, it will lead us to a better being.

Enjoy life and take on adventure. Take every step of every day reaching out your plans and dreams in life. Never give up on every failure but always stand up for every success. Life may be too fast but we can take it slowly and enjoy every bits of it. Just make sure in every step we take, it is the right thing and it would make us happy. At the end of the day there will be no regrets.
